Architecture by Rosie is a London based architectural studio specialising in residential and arts commissions.

Led by architect, Rosie McLaren, the practice has a particular interest in the conversion and conservation of older properties. We enjoy working closely with clients and contractors to design and deliver high quality spaces. and are particularly interested in the creative craft of architecture. Inspired by found objects or the existing context of a site, we love delving into the detail and materiality of our projects, fusing contemporary design and historic contexts.

Rosie founded Architecture by Rosie after working with Chris Dyson Architects, SODA and Takero Shimazaki Architects. Notable previous projects include the RIBA award winning Leicester Print Workshop, Soho House at 76 Dean Street, Venice Takeaway for the 2012 British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and the restoration and extension of several Grade II* Listed properties.

At Architecture by Rosie, we offer a full range of services, from concept to delivery, guiding you through the complexities of planning and listed building consent, technical design and building regulations, as well as on site management. We love to create a fully integrated and refined space, with a considered palette of materials and bespoke joinery that keeps your home clutter free.

Do you have a project in mind? We would love to hear from you, visit our contact page to tell us more details. Alternatively, please click the link below to schedule a free initial project consultation with Rosie.

Alongside our architectural practice, we run educational workshops for children, notably collaborating with Sir John Soane’s Museum. Our workshops aim to awaken the next generation of designers and clients to how we can shape our built environment.

Working from her studio in her renovated Victorian home in South East London, Rosie also creates bespoke screen prints on fabric and paper inspired by our architectural projects.
